Does anyone know for sure whether or not terrestrial broadcast TV comes through the cable TV sockets in the wall? I don't have a standard antenna plug in the wall but I do the screw connectos for cable TV but want to check before I start buying adapters.

Generally yes. But your building management may be different. Can't you just hold a bit of wire on there well enough at least to see if the signal's there?

Um, yes, I should have thought of that! And it worked.

Through the Cable TV Sockets comes nothing until you sign a contract with them.

If you're still deciding which cable to choose, I don't recommend NOWTV. Never seen so many crap repeats....and how many Anthony Bourdain No Reservations can you stand?
