Article on the bbc yesterday saying that there is 1 new blog entry created every second and likely to increase substantially going fwd.
I just don't get it. They are called the home pages of the new millenium - and lets face it home pages were as boring 20 years ago as blogs are today.
If these people had any natural journalistic ability then surely they woul'd be working for some tier-1 national newspaper rather than spending 4 hours each day composing the latest update to their personal weblog that a handful of people will read.
I can't think of anything I would rather do less then spend my valuable 'me' time reading the personal ramblimgs of a wanna-be John Pilger.
This time next year they'll be history.
Am I misguided or missing the point ?

i thought about putting my life on-line and thought better against it.......people are going to have to wait to read my story until I pass on, but then, what a great read they'll have.....

the open diary of today. the pc is the only life some people have. i hope that doesn't include all of us :-p lol
but i think blogs are here to stay for a long time...until something new comes along.

Personal blogs can be so boring, but some clever peeps have done a few consumer ones, testing various things and these can be good cos you don't get the absolute bull from the magazines that get paid to promote certain products! And the tests are actually more like real life
Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out and meet the bloody thing!

Careful what you write on your blog.
I can recall three reports of people losing their jobs over having and writing a block. One a young lady in Hong Kong who worked for a well-known airline, another an ex New York Police Officer and also a guy who worked for a well-known computer software company.

i work for myself, so not worried about being fired and wouldn't mention any client stories, at least until it was in the past.....but then, oh the stories!!!!!!!!

Well, self-employed or not.
In between supping your beer in Hong Kong and Holland, you could get sued for what you say about someone or someones company-cheers anyway!
