Hello !

I'm a young french teacher and i have to go to hong kong for a intership this summer(july 3th-->september 28th).
But i have a problem, i don't know if i have to look for a long-staying hotel rooms or short-term apartments.(if it exist)
I can spend 5000 HKD a month.
Please, anyone can help me, give me some advice...

Can the people you're doing an internship with look out for a room share or something? There are short term lets available but I think it would be more than 5000 a month.

Very few short term apartments on the market, the majority of landlords require a two year lease. A serviced apartment, on that budget difficult.

As cider says your best bet would be a flat share. And don't forget to consider the bond/deposit (three months upfront) and the cost for utilities (particularly electricity for using air conditioning).

Voila quelques personnes qui font des locations a tres courts termes:

les prix sont a partir de $6500 c'est tres bien place, tres flexible (mais honnetement un chouilla cher pour ce que c'est)

Ceux la sont beaucoup mieux mais beaucoup plus cher

Les auberges de jeunesses sont tres bon marche ($80 la nuit en dortoire) mais pas pratique d'acces

Finallement le meilleur rapport qualite-prix ($4940) est la graduate house de l'universite de Hong Kong mais je ne sais pas s'il faut etre etudiant las bas pendant l'ete ou si c'est ouvert a tous

Je crois que je veais plutot me rabattre sur les hotels à long terme ou sur une collocation comme celle que propose joyguesthouse.
Je ne sais pas si c'est l'idéal, mais ca me reviendrai moins cher.
