Cos the weather here is s**t and you have as much chance of seeing any sun as you have seeing snow in Dubai....

surely they've got indoor pools...rather than go to a place where its hot and humid with a 5mo. old baby, never travelled with one myself but i reckon it'll be a bit difficult

can categorically state from experience that is not true..... a 5 year old is less hassle all round than anything that still needs special food/diapers/pusher/it's mother....

Pros and cons really. 5 month olds don't make the same loud fusses that 5 year olds can. But sometimes, you can reason with a 5 year old.... sometimes.

yep ... it is not easy to travel with 5mo old baby i agree so..... anyone volunteer for a weekend babysitting ?

staying in HK is not an option as i need to get out of the concrete jungle to a place with some sun water and sand.

Kota Kinabalu is not an option for me as it will be impossible to get a visa (same for bali)

are there any direct flights to Cebu ?

If your going to Cebu, get some recomendations on where to stay, place we ended up had advertising pics showing long golden sand beaches. Reality was a 10 foot stretch of beach with 6 foot walls either side topped by shotgun wielding guards.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
