Hi. My wife and I are moving with our infant son to HK in July (he'll be 5-mo by July).
We will probably have to spend most of July running around looking for an apartment.
Can anyone recommend a good stroller brand/model that is useful for the terrain in HK? We are trying to decide between Maclaren Techno XT and Bugaboo.
Thanks,
Eric

I'll stick to the Combi strollers, light weight and verry easy to fold. You can't punish your 5mo old with a mclaren can you ?
btw it's Fen-Wick

I'd also advise on buying it before you get here. One of the areas where I've found HK to be waaaaay overpriced, is baby stuff! I went looking at prams/strollers a few weeks back and compared to prices in Australia at least, HK is farging expensive!

Hong Kong is not a very push chair-friendly city, stairs everywhere. I would also consider a baby carrier if the father has a strong back, much easier to walk about in town. Maclaren is a popular brand here. Allthough Geraldo's choice, Combi, is a much lighter one but it will be a lot more expenisve than Maclaren, say if you buy it in UK.

we had a carrier at first which was handy as indeed stairs are everywhere here. we also use now a maclaren one of those easy fold ones (one hand)

bumps-to-babes and the other usual suspects are way overpriced, expect the occasional promotion or stock clearance, while Wing On is priced much better. the Combi cost us about HKD1400, while back in Belgium they were about 200 euros at the time

I personally use a Mclaren thingy for my little psychopath and bought it for HK$1400 at Mothercare. Have used a combi about 5 years ago but now I prefer Alonso's brand!!!
I am aspiring to be just OK!
