Any particular reasoning for the cucumber, smog?
Normally, guys pop the ring in a glass of champagne, or on top of the dessert. etc.

No-one ever accused me of being normal!
If you want the full explanation I guess you'll have to come and ask Mrs smog tomorrow. She seemed to quite like it though.

Nope - we weren't in a hotel room - that was in Kaetsu at the Grand Hyatt.
