How about one of these, then?

Then you can pour the puddle of tea back into your mug from the handy scoopy bit at the bottom of the bib so nothing goes to waste. Bonus!

Gee Giant, cotton fabrics are magnets for tea stains. Fortunately, cold water, vinegar and solutions of water, vinegar and salt are compatible with cotton. To remove tea stains, dip a clean cloth or sponge in white vinegar and apply liberally to the stain. Toss the garment into the wash and launder as normal. Mix a solution of three cups of white vinegar and one cup of water in a glass bowl. Add the tea-stained garment and allow to soak. Rub the stain lightly and rinse well in cold water. If the stain remains, pour salt granules in a little heap on the stain and rub between your fingers. Rinse well and launder. When possible, line dry your cotton fabrics in full sun instead of tossing into the dryer. If there is any stain remaining, the heat from the dryer will cause it to set. The sun draws stains out and fresh air is a great deodorizer. Hope this helps Giant, I think it will.

Bleech definately works for white clothes. With other colours I use just a little bleech and it's fine.

What kind of tea do you drink that gives such stubborn stain ?

You might try putting salt solution to the stain then wash off, even if it does not work it would not ruin...

Thoughts don't count.

Okay, before I make any further attempts at helpfulness, I think we all deserve to know how exactly it came about that you poured industrial-strength brew down your brand-new kit, Giant.

I was sat on the edge of the sofa opening the window, lighting a fag and at the same time the phone rang. Obviously something had to give and it was the mug of scalding tea about to reach my lips...

Ah. Rookie mistake. You should have opened the window, switched off your phone, lit your fag and then attempted to drink scalding hot tea.
