Sorry Paps
Anyway back on topic,
Phuket restaurant in Soho, decent food but abysmal service, it feels like they'd prefer you stayed home rather than come and annoy them...
up to not much

i find the 7/11 in Soho (adjacent escalator, Elgin st) to be well situated and open all the time. They do a mean pre packaged Sushi triangle and their beer and wine is quite cheap. I find the staff to be cheerful and pleasant and they accept Octipus for payment.

I thoroughly recomment Bistro Manchu (33 Elgin street) The food is fantastic, northern Chinese cuisine I think. The service was excellent. They also have a great lunch deal.
Hey jess I'll be trying your recommendation soon! Thanks!

39A Gough Street (name of the restaurant and address) Central Thai Fusion
Apart from the expected Thai & Thai fusion fare, Chef Patron David also has daily specials that are prepared according to your wishes, or in "surprise me" mode. Prices are reasonable and food is very well presented and excellent quality and taste.
Be sure to try the daily home-made cheesecake in unusual flavours, such as Sambuca, Pina, Mars, Pistachio...
Will definitely... your description makes me hungry now.

Hi How much would dinner for two in Isola excluding wine cost?
Rough price of a main course? HK$200? HK$300?

KM.. Isola is not that expensive to be honest.
I would say if you are having two courses your looking at around $800 excluding wine max.. obviously really depends what you order tho

Isola is over priced with sh!te food. You basically pay for the environment, not the food.

really shazza, i hate places like that. I love to pay spend good cash on and feel it is worth it after. I hate it when you pay a s**t load and the food is just s**te.
Anyway, it is a lot cheaper than I thought.

quote: Originally posted by Paps of Jura I am currently loving Azure Rest at the top of the LKF hotel in Wyndham Street...stylish art decor interior, a great view over the city.. nice balcony at the side.
Fusion european food Good wine list
Nice bar downstairs with a gentleman club feel and a lovely pool table
*Resurrection*
Went there for the first time last night on editorial team dinner (which I'd forgotten about) and was seriously, seriously unimpressed and disappointed, after all the glowing reviews I'd heard about this place.
It took the waitress 20 minutes to uncork two bottles of wine, during which time we were sat staring at empty glasses. She poured tragic amounts into each glass, set the bottles on a wee table on the other side of the room and then f**ked off.
45 minutes later, as glasses were being drained and, in some cases, completely emptied, there was still no sign of her. I finally stood up, retrieved our bottles of wine and started pouring.
Anywhere else, this would case a mini-stampede of staff rushing over to apologise and take over the pouring. Not at Azure.
Requesting another bottle of wine took one of our group to actually get up from our table and go over to some bint lounging around by the till ~ three times ~ before there was any response or reaction.
And the wine was utter s**te. I've had my fair share of paint-stripper wines at cheap bars, but this was not what I expected from a so-called 5-star bar/restaurant.
