I'm moving to HK in October for work. The Australian company I work for are opening an office on Nathan Rd. I am after a fully furbished 2 bedroom appartment for 1 year. This is my first move from Australia so I want to live in an area with lots of expats and close to bars, as well as close to work. Any suggestions? tips?

How much money have you got to spend on your apartment per month?

Not 100% sure, it will be covered by work. They have told me it will be 2 bedroom fully furbished etc etc. They are researching apparments now and will give me 5-6 to choose from. They are sending to HK in July to look at the places and decide which I want. What would you say an average $$ range for 2 bedroom fully furbished in a nice area?? (not after the Hilton, but say 4 stars??)

Really you want to look yourself and then suggest to them. It depends very much on how much you have to spend and it depends if you'll be want to be using public transport to get to work or not. If you are looking for a 4* type accomodation with lots of 'pats' in that area you'll be looking HK$40K+ / pm easily.

What end of Nathan Rd? If the TST end, TST MTR is a short walk and train trip from Mid Levels, where you'll find all the expats and bars you need. What part of OZ? The AFL end or the NRL end?

I like Peng Chau. DB and Lantau and Stanley. I ... sometimes... hate tall buildings. Can't escape quickly. And you have to wait the lift. Nathan Road. Best to live... close to Prince Road. Next to KCR.. and MTR... and close to Flower Market... and close to Pet shops.. anytime you could visit them.. what do you think?
