I would never use an agency- they can make the women pay a fee also, which leaves them out of pocket from day one. Plusses for an agency- if she doesnt work out, you can 'swap' her at no extra hassle to yourself ( check there are no extra charges). You can't go wrong, hypothetically, with a personal recommendation. Ask those who have a helper to ask their helpers for referrals. This has worked for me. If you need a cook and maybe, later, some minor babysitting and/or looking after the baby whilst your wife and you ( I'm guessing your wife) have a catch up sleep etc. then you need someone who has worked for an expat family. The rules are very different, as are expectation levels. You don't need to provide anything other than a room with bathroom access, a bed, drawers/personal storage. The application from Imm. has you state whether the area is a seperate room and the size. You should also have a list of q's avail. to you. I can give you a list if you need. just basics, but necessary. amazing what you overlook at the time. pm me if you want me to ask around for you.
