I'm gonna have a two weeks trip in August in high Tibet and I need serious equipment. Does anyone have any suggestions about good shops?

when you say how high??? if its going to ebc then you need gloves and a beenie and a soft cell outer, a inner jumper / fleece and maybe a rain jacket as it can rain sleet there..... are you aware of travel restrictions in tibet as of 4 weeks ago no independent tourists allowed....

I guess you are on about hiking gear or is it a Yak repair kit you are after?
Either way - head to Mong Kok

I am interested in the Yak Repair Kit. Where can one purchase such things? And how much of the Yak can you repair with said kit?

Th' YRK costs seven pounds three shillings and sixpence and will repair up to three family sized yaks. Head to Mong Kok; take your yak.

I just went into one of those army supply shops in China and bought myself a PLA greatcoat. That did the trick.

Did they mistake you for being one of the glorious PLA troops? Seeing as you are local and stuff

Good point BB, but the Free Tibet banner and Dalai Lama pictures I was carrying helped to dispel any misunderstandings.

I have all the permits I need. And yes, I'm gonna reach EBC. So I think to park the yak a little bit lower, somewhere in downtown of Lasha.
