Gday All,
We offered a job to a very nice lady over the weekend, and are currently going through the immigration system now. I'm aware that I must take out insurance for my helper... anyone have any information on this? I know some of you have DH's, so I figure it's probably easier to get some referrals here than searching for myself :)
While I'm at it, anyone know of a decent priced medical exam service? I'm pretty sure I'll need to send her for a checkup before immigration will process her case.
Thanks again in advance.

Woops, back on the medical... our contract (standard employment contract) states that we must witness the medical certificate before signing... so I'll still need to find an examiner. SO if you know one, please let me know :)

As far as I know, pretty much any doctor/hospital outpatient service offers DH medicals to cover the basic tests so you may want to just ask your GP for advice or a referral.

Thanks... just re-read the contract, and I only have to get the certificate if she has to go home (Phillipines). Too right about the referral... you need to pay a GP to write a referral, to then pay the lab for testing... don't you just love forty fingers in the pie
