2/10 for me...

Some of the entertainment was alright, but generally poorly organised (from the TV broadcast it seemed rather shabby) and nothing of any real import.
Not a single stand out for me... anyone else suffer through it?

Nope. A bunch of has beens and never weres. Quite why they were doing a concert for a dead neurotic clothes horse was quite beyond me too.

Average by Intention.

Best bit was Ricky Gervais right at the end... who knew he could sing?! And he was funny, too. Also liked Andrea Bocelli doing Music of the Night. Otherwise, 2/10 seems about right. And how much did you want to slap P Fooking Diddyarse?!?

It's hardly shocking news to learn that P Puff Diddy Daddy Doddy is a twat, but just look at some of the rubbish he spouted adapting 'Missing You' (his tribute to crack dealing, violent lardarse The Notorious BIG) to celebrate the dead Diana at yesterday's distinctly bloody awful in every possible way 'Concert For Diana'.

It starts pretty terribly:
Sometimes in life we lose people that are close to us.
Princess Diana was close to all of us.
She was our princess.
Diana, we miss you.
If you miss Diana, make some noise!

Then gets even worse:
If you’ve come here to celebrate Diana,
I want you to put your hands in the air and wave from side to side.
She’s smiling down on us right now.

Before Diddy starts coming out with this rubbish:
I want you to sing this with me, come on.
Say “I love you, I love you. We miss you, we miss you.”
Prince William, Prince Harry, we love you, we respect you.

And finally says possibly the crassest thing ever spoken on a stage:
So beautiful, so graceful, so elegant.
Princess Diana, we’ll never forget you.
Take me to the bridge.

What a c**t.

I was waiting for Everybody Loves Raymond, and was then so disappointed it wasn;t on I watched the whole damn thing just to make sure the swap was worth it. Waste of time. Although Status quo were pretty good, apart from Ric Parfitts' pink shirt.
I mainly stayed up to see if one of the young 'royals' would get so drunk they would dance wildly and fall of the balcony, but sadly, it wasn't to be.

What a thoroughly uninspiring line up. But it was for 'charidy' so that's fine.

Wow... he was actually hunky back in the day. Looks spookily like David Bowie.
