I am not sure if it is a good movie or not. I find that a very larger amount of the book has been ommitted and wonder if many parts are comprehensible to anyone who has not read the book.
The movie is well made, not rushed but just chopped. The next 2 books are even longer, I think they will need 3 to 4 hours to do the next one justice.
Caution: this post contains content that might lead to unrealistic expectation in real relationships. keep out of reach of immature people.

I didn't read any of the books and I found the movie quite entertaining but abit abstract.

every time I see that kid's face I think of how immoral but satisfying it would be to give it a little slap

I read the book, but a bit disappointed. Like KM said, a lot of the story from the book has been omitted.

I want to see this one still and I read the book so it should not be a problem. The last movie was kind of choppy too.

Sometimes there comes a movie that when you watch it makes you feel like a kid again or makes you wish that you live in that particular world- and this movie made me feel just that.
If the movie followed each and every detail in the book, you'd probably have a 8-10hour flick, so I think the editing was well done. Besides, if you watched the 4 previous movies, you wouldn't have problems following this plot.

Thought he was quite funny in Extras, especially when he was trying to get into Diana Riggs knickers.

I feel sorry for that horse, it hasn't even got a proper head. Poor thing must have been in a nasty accident.
I am aspiring to be just OK!

It's not a real horse Beer Boy, it's somebody wearing a costume.

I like the concept of Department of Mysterious. And the scene of the telephone stand became a lift.

The Simpsons is going to be the best Summer flick by far.

Gee, I think it's wrong for Daniel Radcliffe to be baring his all on stage in Equus because it sends all sorts of wrong messages to his impressionable young fans.
