So Scotland Yard offered an ex-gratia payment of 15,000 quid to the Menezes family for the murder of their son at Stockwell tube station - but the family rejected the offer saying it caused them offense.
Too bloody right!! - hom on earht could any educated person come up with a figure like that..............and more to the point we can only assume that Ian Blair was aware and approved the offer.
Straw that broke the camel's back if you ask me - he should now resign immediately.

It wasn't a payment for their kid, it was just money to help them with their current bills that they couldn't afford.....

Considering families only receive a few hundred squid for those killed in reckless driving. It is a sizeable offer for a life. But then, this is reckless shooting..... I dunno.
