Don't believe the hype!

Saw this in KL with the bubs couple of weeks ago and it IS nothing more than an over-extended episode of the TV show ~ occasionally clever, infrequently amusing and, all in all, a big fat waste of time.

As Homer himself would say...

Yeah, thanks, I was thinking about paying good money to see this movie

NOT!

I wasn't expecting anything, and don't you double question-mark me, boy.

I went in with zero expectations and the movie matched those with ease.

If you read the interview with creator Matt Groening in todays Post he says what they didnt want to do was create a an over-extended episode of the TV show.

Im going to see it on Saturday as id be happy with an over-extended episode on the big screen. "Spiderpig"!

Well I don't see how it could possibly be a bad movie.

In America they turned all of the 7-11s into Kwik-e-marts. did they do that in HK? They even had blueberry squishies. haha

At my lemonade stand I used to give the first glass away free and charge five dollars for the second glass. The refill contained the antidote.

I'd also like to see McDonalds become Krusty Burger, Moe behind the bar in Mes Amis, Kent Brockman presenting ATV News and Monty Burns running CLP.

I was a wee bit diasppointed overall* but enough laugh-out-loud moments to make it worth the dollar-spend

*not enough Moe or groundskeeper Willie, no musical numbers in the style of 'Dr Zeus Dr Zeus' (to the tune of Amadeus, in the musical 'Stop the planet of the apes I wan't to get off') or 'You can always depend on the kindness of strangers'

I did love the "nekkid Bart" skateboard extravaganza in the opening moments of the movie, I have to say.
