Has anyone been to Burma recently - I am planning 4 day trip, landing in Rangoon.
Can anyone suggest some must sees in Rangoon (is there enough to do and see in one city for four days? and do you recomend any other cities?
Should i do two days in each of two places, or can i be based in Rangoon and do day trips.
Suggestions, tips and advise welcome.

I was there a couple of years ago, spent a couple of days in Rangoon and can't say I like it. The fact that it was raining didn't help. The temple in the middle of town is interesting, and stunning at night.
I would suggest going to Inle Lake and / or Bagan, but 4 days might be cutting it a bit.
If you go, i'd suggest bringing some English reading material (Readers' Digest is quite welcome) for the people there. They have an interest in the English language and foreign affairs (as you know they are one of the most suppressed countries in the world).
