Stay strong V, my mother still cries every time we have to say "bye" to each other. BUT you always hope that there is a next time and you make sure to appreciate & be grateful for every min you spend together. also think about how well he would be after finishing his education, keeping him next to you wont. and you will always have HKexpat support!

v be happy that you do feel the way you do it means you have a strong connection to your son ...there are many parents who feel the other way and cant wait for the kids to leave home................

V be happy - its the next chapter in his life and he'll love you for supporting him in the run up to it.

Before he gets on the plane dont forget to tell him that rubbing the bird reduces the risk of prostate problems in later life - he'll love you for that too.

Velvet My son left yesterday morning for his second year in Montreal. The first year was a bit weird without him around, but I saw him most nights on Msn messenger, so knew he was safe. For me, it's a matter of him being safe, him remembering to eat and him getting enough sleep.

Your son will be back soon! Christmas is just round the corner and you can always skype him and do you have a camera thingy attachment on your puter?

Just now I'm struggling with my 2 kiddies homework and not really enjoying it much. Cannot wait til they are big enough to look after themselves.

God no, Shazz, you deserve a medal for being an ace mum. At one point or another, I think most mums want to just run screaming away, no matter how much they love their kids.

My mum once said that if she could live her life over again, she'd never have kids. I said, "Even ME?!?!?" and she went, "yes."

Ouch.

I'll still have my child. In fact, she's the reason I didn't kick Mr. catz out of the house!

Wouldn't give up my bubs for the world. They are the only things in my life of which I am truly proud.
I look at them and think, yes... I did good there. I'd walk through fire for them.
They are the only things which truly matter; all else is bulls**t.

Are we nearly there yet?

Time and you people. Thanks. You have no idea how it makes me smile to read what you guys post. It really does help. And yes, it's hard now and again but I am able to keep positive too!
Having to move house is helping a tad as well, you know, keeping my mind occupied with stuff that needs to get done and all that.

You lot... c'mon {{{{{{{group hug}}}}}}}
