Mums out there.. I'm just feeling a little down. My son is going off to Uni and I'm trying to cope with all sorts of emotions and etc etc... I know it will be good for him and I'm really glad that he is going.. but the mother in me is breaking down every five minutes or so, just thinking about him leaving. I just needed to "verbalise" it here.

Vel, I am going through the similar situation these days.
It is not easy, not easy at all....I guess a mom is never ready for her kids to leave home even though I had been anticipating the situation and prepared for it.
All I can say to myself is that : I have no regrets, even if they don't look back I am not going to feel sorry because I have done all I can for them, and now they are fully grown and take wings......I should be glad that my load is off.
Most of all , I have raised a pair of decent , good, happy people.
I also think that : they are not mine, they belong to themselves and the world. I have only completed my karma and finished my deed, the rest is a bonus.
All of a sudden , I am free again . Isn't that what I always wanted ?
