weather around the mid-autumn festival (end of Sept). I would like to take a week vaca and not sure where I should go. i really don’t feel like going to a resort and just stay indoor, any thought "Travel Experts", Spunkmaster?

I do not and cannot claim the title of Travel Expert... Slackmaster, yes.
Too many places to name, and there are people here who have lots more years of travelling (and everything) than I do!

The same ol questions: what would you like to see, do, play??? The weather in SE Asia would all be nice and it's the end of the rainy season so the choices are endless!

well...somewhere with a beach, sunny and as less people as possible. I actually have never been to Boracay before, would it be first in your list?

If you fancy Sri Lanka I would recommend the south coast, beyond Galle. Unawatuna was nice.

Sri Lanka you can go to the beach and also do a lot of culture stuff too.. ancient rocks, temples etc

Galle and the surrounding coast seem to be the nice coastal area

The only bummer is no direct flight and the times of them are a bit of a nightmare

taking my first vacation for this year the same time as yours Nas and I'm going to Palawan (boracay has lost its charm imho). Rates are amazingly affordable!

I spend most of my vaca time in the US or Morocco. It's about time to travel around the region and take advantage of the opportunity. Most of my travel in Asia has been with work and I usually visit office and client...that’s all I do
