I've not had word from Matthew about the idea discussed last week that this be the final quiz of the first season, but in any case who's on for tonight?
Personally I have to say I'm wavering unless it's the decider for the $10,000.

Why do quizzes have seasons? Shouldn't they be year round?

The problem is that many of the teams consisted of people who went away for the summer, thus not playing for several weeks and thus having no chance of catching up with the Buddha Bellies and the Shirley Temples who played through. But now the Shirley temples are off back to school after this week, so if the league continues on it doesn't really have any meaning except to keep someone turning up in the name of the Buddha Bellies to score a few points each week.
And if you're going to have a prize you have to have a point at which that prize is awarded. $10,000 is not an insignificant amount!
The idea is that the following week everyone's score would be reset to zero and we'd start again now that the other regular teams are back from their hols.

I am trying to set up my new flat, but I might drop by if it is the last game.
At my lemonade stand I used to give the first glass away free and charge five dollars for the second glass. The refill contained the antidote.

No answer from Matthew. I'll pop my head in after gym to see if anyone else is there. If there's $10,000 at stake then I'll stay in the hope that I can come within 8 points of the Shirley Temples (that being our current lead I believe).

And Matthew has now stated that the Season will run until "mid-December so I guess the last one will be either the 11th or the 18th.
