I went to see Stardust over the weekend.
Annoyingly, it was not a biopic of legendary crooner and Kim-Wilde maker, Alvin Stardust
No, instead it was a tired rethread of the Princess Bride, Willow and countless other jaunts, with a performance from Robert De Niro that was akin to him taking all of his great performances from the past, stacking them neatly on the floor, and s**tting all over them

Alvin Stardust was originally called Shane Fenton and that was cos he loved Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent very much on account of it's oatcake shops, relative lack of crime compared to other towns in Stoke-on-Trent and the MEB shop and Tingles massage parlour.
