So I have a three day weekend coming up and I am curious where I could go that is kinda cheap and worth checking out. I have a few thoughts but I was looking for some input. Int'l and domestic options are cool with me.
At my lemonade stand I used to give the first glass away free and charge five dollars for the second glass. The refill contained the antidote.

I'd recommend Ho Chi Ming City. Good food and you can comfortably see the city and make a day excursion in a few days. (Though you need to get a visa a few days in advance) The usuals: Bangkok, Singapore, KL, Taipei, Shanghai.

most of the Intl flights are either sold out or too expensive.... I booked my Bangkok tickets 3 weeks ago just when the prices started to swell! Why dont you just find a companion (or by yourself), jump either on a ferry or train and go explore Guangzhou. It's a big city with a lot of history behind; night life is just as good as in HK...

Years ago i went to a place called Siu Hing, a 6-hour bus ride from HK. (I think there's also a train). There's a lake there and it was pretty good for a few days.

I found some great tickets to KL and Beijing. which one do y'all think. I want to go to TL for cambodia but I don't want to spend a bundle.
At my lemonade stand I used to give the first glass away free and charge five dollars for the second glass. The refill contained the antidote.

Is that the place with the craggy mountains too? A bit like Yangshuo but nearer to HK.

maybe it's the time of the night, but that's one to remember.
wouldn't there be a travel agency with really really last second deals ? I used to do this back (ex-)home, pack, go to the agent, ready to leave, could do so many days for this budget - been really cheap-cheap to great places in turkey, greece and middle east/north africa.

That would be http://www.lastminute.com.hk/cgi-bin/FrontPage/frontpage.pl?action=LoadIndex . They are usually the cheapest when it comes to last min deals
