For those who have moved here from elsewhere, how do you feel hong kong has changed you and your personality?

-ve's: I feel that I've lost some of my manners, become more aggressive and competitive.
+ve's: More confident, mature and more aware of the important things in life such as family and friends.

...and you...

I've been here so long I can't remember what I was like pre-1986**.

Since arriving in HK over 20 years ago, my eyesight seems to have become worse. Back in the 80s I could see clear across the harbour...

It is almost impossible to exaggerate the complete unimportance of almost everything.

I agree with the negatives, and would add impatience for me too

most positive is insight from being a minority

I was wondering about that. HK seems to have alot of bald, portly white boys. Was wondering if HK caused them to lose their hair or if balding men select HK.

I've learned how to use chopsticks.

I appreciate clean air more than ever.

When I came here I had waist-length lustrous locks... I blame the government.

Hmm, a government conspiracy to cause premature baldness in Caucasian men and impact on their self confidence in business dealings.

Oh my. I always suspected this on my missions to LKF and Wan Chai.

It's never had that effect on me.

And what are these "missions" that you go on?

But it's true!! Hong Kong isn't kind to Caucasians - affects women just as much.
They come here and start to walk all ungainly and go a funny shape - most apparent when you see 'em lumbering around Wan Chai.

I've become a deeply sensitive soul who empathises with everyone and is in touch with his female side. I used to be callous, cold, objectionable, highly opinionated and downright rude. Also I drink more tea.

Average by Intention.

i have lowered my standards....

At my lemonade stand I used to give the first glass away free and charge five dollars for the second glass. The refill contained the antidote.
