2 cents? I couldn't give a flying f**k about captain america... I thought he was a comic book character? Assuming that's correct, then I don't imagine too many visitors here are very well read in this genre

That just it! What makes Captain America works is the whole "coming to you in glorious red, white and blue" and neutralize the situation with minimal or no fatality. The gun signifies the likeliness of him using deadly forces. A thing that contradicts the nature of the beast
