flying to Bangkok tonight with my lady for the long weekend. I've been to the smoky city once before and enjoyed it (for a short stay). I've done some sightseeing, dining, clubbing and SPA treatment during my last visit and probably will cut down the sightseeing this time & focus on dining and spas this time. any recommendations? I’m very sure I haven’t covered everything last time and would love to try new venues/places.

pick up a copy BK magazine when you are there

It's the sister magazine of HK magazine

Thats a good option...But would rather hear personal experiences and references especially "spa" venues.

Drinks at the rooftop bar of The Banyan Tree- you can see all of Bangkok sparkling at night- romantic too! Their frozen margaritas are smashing!

The 65th floor open air restaurant & bar at State Tower. More spectacular even than Vertigo at the Banyan Tree.

Spas are ten a penny.

1. Don't use your HSBC ATM card to widthdraw Baht they will take a 13% commision.

2. Don't change HK$ into Baht in HSBC HK, because they still rip you off here.

3. What ever you do never ever ever go to the HSBC building in BKK, its s**te to get there.
Their forex rates are a scam, they take (can't remember exactly) about 7-10% also.

4. Change your money in a Bank in BKK, they only take 5%

Cheap Thailand...

I'm available to write reviews of bars as long as they are s**t holes.
