1) WHO with support from PRC decided that traditional Chinese medicine should be documented with traditional Chinese characters only; this was argumented as there was otherwise no way to make this comprehensible internationally incl. Japan & Korea.

2) China scrapping Marxist May Day 3-day holidays (in practice one-week holiday with weekend substitute working) and giving it only one day, instead they'll introduce 3 traditional 1-day holidays: Ching Ming, Dragon Boat and Mid-Autumn festivals.

Is this counterrevolution or what???

Next step is that they'll introduce classical Chinese characters in selected mainland university faculties and it soon spreads to all tertiary learning, then high schools and finally everywhere in PRC. Soon there is no need for one country and two systems as we are all part of the same old feodal system. Now where are the first warlords to emerge?

Let's hope so. Simplified characters make my eyes hurt.

I prefer traditional Chinese characters too.

As for the counter-revolution, I think that occurred nearly 30 years ago, didn't it? The effects may be seen today as China becomes more capitalist by the day!
