I heard that Cathay banned staff from WC bars due to the problems of drink spiking (don't think it was to keep pilots out of jail)
to be, or not to be, what was the question?

There seems to be a lot of flappety flap from the OP on the PPrune site. Surely if he had had so many "dangerous" encounters either directly or indirectly (friend of a friend etc), he'd have kicked up a storm with the police all those times and informed his company who would have then warned the staff.

Bit weird that they both died at the same time tho... must have been a dodgy batch or summat

Most likely they didn't know the quality of the smack. The idea is you get the high from the charlie and the smack both eases the come down and as it lasts longer you get the effect of the heroin. But it's a big risk as the coke makes your heart beat like a f'ked clock and the heroin depresses your breathing. If you screw up the dose you are in a world of do-do.
Oh - plus they'd been out drinking. Wasn't the best move ever.

It does happen but as always if you are smart then you should escape wanchai wallet and body intact. As always, people who get mashed up, think they are invincible then start spreading the proceeds of their credit card like confetti set themselves up to be targets. Darwinism at work and quite effectively IMHO.
Bearing in mind that the number of working girls in Wanchai is now ten fold what it used to be ten years ago this is hardly a surprise that some people get ripped off.
It is about as newsworthy as Barclay Crawford confessing he was his own tipster in the Fenwicks drug "scandal"

Never looked into it (or paid attention) - Don't think anyone in China would want to steal me... besides, you're likely to open a whole other can of worms calling 112 - esp if you've been out on the pish in the good ole PRC!

112 is the number to call the emergency services from any GSM phone anywhere in the world! The phone doesn't even need a SIM card in it - haven't you noticed the "SOS" button if you switch a mobile phone on without a SIM card in? That's what it does - it dials 112 (which really does work, even in countries which have another more well known emergency number such as 911 or 999).

And like when you call the emergency service in HK... hahaha what a joke
My mate once called to report a crime that was happening right there and then and the police had no sense of urgency all they were interested in "how to spell your name" "how to spell your name missy"
