Can't access it, Spanner, cos I is at office. Is it footage of Japanese fisherman slaughtering dolphins?

"Heroes" star Hayden Pannettiere (the cheerleader) took to the waters in Japan with a bunch of surfer friends recently to protest the slaughter, and a warrant for her arrest has been issued.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21826234/
Takumi Fukuda, a spokesperson for the Fisheries Attache at the Embassy of Japan released a statement about Hayden’s protest to Access Hollywood. “Generations of people in Taiji have relied on fisheries for their livelihoods, and their catches are carried out in a sustainable manner. The population of dolphins has been healthily maintained for many years. While respecting Ms. Panettierre’s personal feelings towards dolphins, I hope that your viewers will be reassured by the fact that Japan is carefully managing marine living resources for the future,” the statement read.
The same way they are managing the humpback whale population, I gather.
Although Ms Pannettiere's description of the dolphins as "teddybears in the water" did make me vomit into my own mouth a little.

yes the funny thing about the Japanese who like to say they have a cultural need to hunt whales and dolphins tend to forget the salient point that historically they only slaughtered these animals inside japans territorial waters ......now they hunt all over the world so its no longer a cultural historical justification........plus the marshal plan after the end of the second world war bought ships to develop the whaling industry in Japan to supplement the need for meat / protein that was in short supply after ww2..and to help develop an industry for the economic side of the equation

Gee, what makes you say that tiger lily? You need to explain yourself more than that.

Gee, I was saying, it's a matter of better or worse rather than right or wrong . If I am told that eating dogs is no difference to eating cows or pigs ...........Geez....
( my thought is : if I have to pick one to eat, Dorphin or Dog......)
