Funny...? I find it really tedious. Plus he's ugly.

I thought it was great - I like a bit of "gentle" humour me and the pastiche of Jeremy Paxman was spot on
But I have always been a fan of Coogan, especially in th Day Today

I like it.
Plus it was shot in Saint Evenage, my ancestral home.

I watched most of the first series over the weekend. I have to concur with AKA that it is most excellent.

Gizza go then AKA or Giant.. I could do with a new series to watch
Would it appeal to people who like role playing & dressed like goths in their youth ? It looks a bit gothy/rock to me. Or could you classify it like league of gentleman ??

Saxondale? That's the one where he plays a roadie (or is it ex-roadie?) and going to anger management therapy or something?
Have sat through a couple of episodes and just didn't get it, i.e. couldn't find anything remotely amusing about it. Same for Alan Partridge tho. However, after repeated (mostly involuntary) viewings of The Office, I am slowly beginning to appreciate that one.

I'm sure BB and EB would find some of the rock references amusing, but it's essentially just a bloke living off his memories and past glories, with an anger problem and other very human weaknesses. Very intelligently written and nice use of silence. I've only got it on my external hard drive though Paps.

I have watched one or two and have decided I can't stand it. I wanted to like it, as it has a bit of an Office/Spinal Tap thing about it. I find it cringeworthy in a really humorous way, but I just can't sit through it.

It's alright... but I find AP tries too hard to be funny at times
And some of the rock refs are quite funny
