Last nigfht i get so frustrated sitting at a table watching a movie, cause everytime the guy says Fcuk or some other swearword the sound goes silent for a fraction of a second, why cant the censors be censored to be realistic first? imean who doesnt use the word fcuk? and that where in Hk we all hear nothing else but tio leih lo mo.
Censors start doing some work for a living for once!

Blame the heavy-handed censorship on the Singaporean feed for the edited stuff we get on NOW TV. Personally, if I know that a particular show/ film is going to include something offensive to me then I'd choose not to watch the show but I won't stop others from enjoying it. We pay for the shows not for parts of a show/ film. I'm sure the majority of Singaporean adults are aware of what kind of language may be used in particular shows or films, so why not give people the choice to choose whether they want to watch/ hear it or not? Would it not be cheaper and more efficient to the broadcasters to issue a warning prior to the show informing them that there may be something that could cause offense to the viewer rather than paying someone to bleep out the swearing and then someone else to check that all the offensive words have been "caught"?

A lot of the censoring in Singers was to avoid moral outrage, to promote harmony and avoid the various races / religions having some self righteous indignation leading to unrest.
Which is fair enough and all good reasons to limit such peoples exposure to naughty words and stuff.
But I'm an adult and I'm capable of making my own choices about what I watch, see and do. And the entertainment providers have a duty to provide me with what I want if I'm spending my money on their services. But if they keep selling packages they won't change.
- So I don't buy any of their entertainment packages.

As the work Christmas party on Friday at California, the DJ played Fergie's London Bridge (more than once!):

'Ho' was censored, but 'fook' was not.
And apparently it is perfectly ok to dance like a ho at work parties, with your bosses!!! (My eyes!)

i can smoke and booze myself to death at home, however i cant play a movie in its original way without missing parts or stupid dumb beeps introduced by a bunch of non educated blimps, it just doesnt make sense.
LT conflicts ? i am watching in HK, so let them provide content for fooking damn HK! alrighty?

oh and while we are at it, would the stupid music/movie industry pls stop to protect their property (or better limit my useability of products) every time i want to watch my stuff from holland from years ago i have to set my computer to a different zone, which it only allows to do fooking 4 times.........
it doesnt say anywhere on the package that the product can only be used in this or that country, the cnuts!

There used to be some censorship on cable in Canada about 10 years ago
These days, nothing is taboo...
It's going to take some time for HK and SE-asian region to liberate themselves from moral highground

excuse me, i can handle and take care my own kids, and I will decide what i think is appropiate for them and what not, and no off course i wont let my 2 year old watch a horrible horror movie, nor will i let my eldest watch something vulgar, however when i go buy a good movie, i expect to see all of it, and not just bits and pieces!
i am old and wise enough to manage my own viewing schedule!
oh and dont think that my kids are that innocent!

I have no idea how smart/dumb other parents are, and thats frankly none of my business, if in the US a kid can go on a shooting rampage then that indicates something yes, but dont forget that we were only talking about soem words here which are frankly used by the majority on a daily basis, so its nothing the kids never ever heard of before.
