Sky News (no doubt this will be picked up by Fox and possibly even Barclay Crawford)
quote: Forbidden LEGO Book Is Big Xmas Hit
Updated:11:17, Friday December 14, 2007 A book showing children how to make guns out of LEGO is climbing the list of must-have Christmas presents.
The manual, written by two former employees of the Danish plastic-brick firm, is a big hit in the US.
The authors of Forbidden LEGO: Build the Models Your Parents Warned You Against promise "you'll learn to create working models that LEGO would never endorse".
Ulrik Pilegaard and Mike Dooley added: "Try your hand at a toy gun that shoots LEGO plates, a candy catapult, a high voltage LEGO vehicle.
"Or a continuous fire ping-pong ball launcher, and other useless but incredibly fun inventions." Advertisement
The book was published in August by No Starch Press, a small independent publishing house based in San Francisco.
And it has become a surprise hit with Americans, shooting up the Amazon sales charts.
But in Britain, there has been concern about the effect the book may have on children.
The Daily Telegraph has dubbed the tome "the Anarchist Cookbook of the nursery".
And a commenter on ThisIsLondon.co.uk said: "This is a very dangerous idea.
"Kids could make atomic bombs out of LEGO, and just think what would happen if some Islamic terrorist get hold of a copy. The possibilities are terrifying."
Now quite apart from this outrage being utterly absurd what really p**ses me off is this bit at the end 'A commenter' - that means some Terry f**kwit posting messages at the 'add your comment' bit they tag to the end of stories. And this is then added to the story in such a way as it appears to be some sort of authority.
Average by Intention.

That's what I mean - whether the comment is made in jest or by a pillock it shouldn't be added to a story as though its a serious potential issue with a f**king LEGO toy book.

It actually was picked up by FOX, but they added a few explanatory comments quote: "This is a very dangerous idea," he wrote with tongue firmly in cheek. "Kids could make atomic bombs out of Lego...
FOX did make the mistake of calling them Legos though. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,316734,00.html

As expected:
quote: "he wrote with tongue firmly in cheek"
Like us lot didn't know how to make smoke-bombs and catapults 20 years ago. No Lego book required...
