as i msaid before i'd requiire direct flight to frankfurt, amsterdam or brussels. i hate to make stops and elongate the travel when having three kids around its just asking for trouble.

No-one flies direct to Brussels. For Frankfurt your choice is CX or LH. For Amsterdam it's CX or KL.
But I don't understand why you are considering Air France in this case - they only fly direct to Paris.

Rubbish - Air France has never flown direct between Hong Kong and Amsterdam.

High speed train or rental car from AMS or CDG to Brussels should be pretty painless.
. The problem with instant gratification is that it takes too bloody long...

Indeed and Eurostar from London is quicker now too. Arrving in LHR isn't too bad, it's departing that's a nightmare. So I'd consider London and then the Eurostar, but you would need to factor in the cost of getting from Heathrow to St Pancras, which I guess might be about 60+ quid these days for a taxi.

hmm, thinking now.....putting grey mass to work.......did i or did i not fly direct with aiur france......i think i did...i still remember as it was still smoking allowed at said times in the back compartment of the plain
adf i need to be in the north of Belgium, about 10 mins away from the dutch border so yes rental from ams would do.......but most time i will stay in one place so a 2 weeks rental would be just spending money for nothing. im taking a taxi bus from ams if we fly on there, just to get us home and back at airport again.
train from ams.....with 3 kids, and lots a luggage, and needing to change trains in dordrecht, even have to change perrons there and theres no lift/escalator for all yer luggage

LHR is a construction site and a proper mess. A cab from LHR to the Eurostar station costs more than a return flight to Brussels. in CDG there is a free shuttle bus (should you need to switch terminals for the TGV station), 10 minute trip if you arrive in the old terminal 2.
train from schiphol to antwerp is "direct", no changes or anything, think I paid 15 Euro last time for a one way. From Antwerp you can take the train (same level) towards Lier/Herentals that should bring you pretty close.
it's fekkin 7months away and you're already stressing up??

What about Oasis, and a cab from LGW to Ebbsfleet or Ashford to pick up the Eurostar there? That might be the cheapest way.

Until now KLM has the cheapest offer, and a taxi bus from ams to the belgian border will leave me with least hassle and fastest travel time so far. If London that means plain to train, train to eurostar, Eurostar to train, train to taxi

no, London with Oasis would mean PLANE to PLANE to Brussels or even Antwerp
Gatwick to Brussels is 32quid one way, all in (per person)

CX is doing a promotion around 4000 hkd flying direct to london (mainly to beat Oasis) but Oasis is a good airlines IMO just if you wanna fly to other countries in europe you gotta change in gatwick (which is what i did)

I like Oasis, and Gatwick is a much better place to arrive at than Heathrow.

Heathrow is hell on earth. A f**ked up place, a waste of time, a rabbit warren staffed by incompetents - poorly trained or simply with bad attitudes. It is a crap hole, hard to navigate around it has the air of an unfinished prison, it is cramped and filled with lost souls desperate to get the f**k out of the smeg hole. Filled with too many shops selling expensive tat there is f**k all to do but get very depressed.
Need I go on?

And god help you if you need to fill up that hire car before taking it back. That one solitary petrol station thats situated on that annoying one way system is a right pain in the ass.
And the replica model of Concord seems to have vanished, which incidentally, my mum made a comment a few years ago something along the lines of, "Hey, it's a lot smaller than I thought it was!" Bless.....

What the f*ck have you done lately?
