Has anyone seen this (the new Will Smith remake ~ apparently, it is the fourth film adaptation of the novel) or read the book?

Am curious to see it as the trailer looks good, but the whole zombie side of things freaks me out and want a heads-up on what to expect.

yep saw it today....have seen the omega man and the vincent price version called last man on earth...interesting to see the latest adaptation of mathesons book...once again there are elements of the book but this version also stays away from what matheson was dealing with.....I enjoyed it more out of curiosity to see how they would adapt the story and was happy enough considering its hollywood and they do have a formula / cliche to work to
ps the dog will be nominated for best supporting actor

and once there was wilson now there is hank.............

darren rudd is and never was a sinophile
but the reports were a smoggy mistake

I'm a big fan of the book and have been waiting a long time for a faithful adaptation to be made. I dare say I'll be a bit disappointed as in the book they're vampires, not zombies, but I'm expecting it to be good movie in its own right. I'll probably see it tomorrow.

Still considering if I should watch it on the big screen or wait for the dvd.

Am planning to watch the golden compass and national treasure.

i watched the movie last night, never read the book.

i didn't like the movie so much, maybe because the storyline they put in the movie was way too simple and they were depending a lot on Will Smith's acting ... but he was no where close to Tom Hanks (on acting on his ownself).

i also hated the "oh because God told me there is a way out..... trust me..." storyline at the end..... that was just a lazy and stupid way to end the story.

Saw it yesterday. Gave me the willies... (If I understood the term correctly?) I am now scared of poorly vampire zombies.
