Hey girls, I'm moving to work in HK for a month next week. I've never been before, and was just told a week ago. So basically, the social circle starts from scratch! Anyone keen on meeting up for a coffee or anything? Please let me know. Thanks!

Gimpmask, thanks for the update =) How does this forum thing work though? I have been in other country's expat forum and seems that there are more wackos here on the HK one, than in others! *LOL* So does it mean that "women only" threads are not necessarily only for women? For instance, I have no idea if you are a lady or gentleman...?

Women's Forum here is definitely not a "women participants only" forum.
I'm not sure how this forum thing works. I guess it's just a venue for a bunch of very bored people in very boring jobs to pass the day with less pain. (Do correct me if I'm wrong)
Some of the peeps here meet up on a regular basis for quizzes and all sorts.
As for wackos, Britney is right there at the top. But of course there are a few other "personalities" here too.
We occassionally try to help each other out and post serious answers.
That's about it. I'm sure you can work the rest out yourself.
Oh, and I'm a guy.

Welcome to HK. It takes time to settle in and I am sure you will enjoy your life in HK. Try to go around different places rather than LKF or TST. Try local cuisine. Meet local people as well as expat.
