So its finally been decided.
Hong Kong's chief executive has said Beijing will allow the special region's people to directly elect their leader by 2017 and their legislators by 2020

Sounds good. Would have been better earlier of course but sounds promising that they say it so firmly, it may actually happen. Interesting to see if Mainland Chinese are going to get jealous and demanding the same.

Yes, may have been better earlier, but as we have been "told", the majority of people in Hong Kong did not want it so soon
