Looking to rent a village house/duplex in NT Central with convenient transport as we have no car.
Looking for either new or just a few years old -- not interested in anything older than 10 years unless newly renovated and clean.
Prefer something with two bathrooms (likely a duplex as single-floor village houses usually have only one bathroom).
Please contact me ASAP if you have such a place or know someone who is looking for a decent tenant who pays the rent on time.

There are many such Village Houses out, but convinience transportation will not be delivered with this houses as they usual are not nearby an MTR station.
almost always friendly and polite

HK has convenient transportation EVERYwhere.....not only MTR also mini busses, regular busses, taxi's etc......HK is a very small place so one reaches all corners fast and easy even if one lives in a "remote" Village House

GOD
it seems you never used to live in a remote area such as POLOCHE in sai kung. if you think every 2 hours a minibus from 8am - 10pm is convinience, then i fully agree with you.
almost always friendly and polite

TonyHK, NT Central consists of Tai Po, Sha Tin, Ma On Shan & Tai Wai.
I'm already familiar with GoHome and Centanet, thanks -- I posted here on the off chance someone knows a landlord who hasn't listed with an agency yet, or isn't interested in going through an agent.
Just covering my bases. [:)]

For transport and convenience Tai Wai and Sha Tin are obviously the best areas being covered by buses that travel to the whole of HK and with KCR stations nearby. The problem is the type of house you want, while there are an abundance of village houses in the area most are more than 10 years old. There are a few new ones if you look. Duplexes are even harder to find although there are a few areas that do contain duplexes but at a price.
Ma On Shan may be a better bet, having a lot of development in recent years and you may find something going towards Sai Kung on the Ma On Shan Road area. Not just duplexes, some people have bought the floors of 2 village houses and knocked through to make them 1, so becoming a 1400 square (and pretty much 100% usuable space) with 2 bathrooms. Transport is a little less convenient but still usable with buses and a KCR station nearby.
Tai Po is here you are most likely to find the type of house you desire, there are many village houses here that are complete houses, i.e. 3 floors a rooftop. Cheaper than the other areas and again transport isn't too bad, buses and KCR all in the area.
Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out and meet the bloody thing!
