This is real, uncut, straight from Allxx Axthur Robinxxx law firm in Australia (Sydney office). The e-mail has been forwarded to most accounting firms, law firms and investment banks across the country. The two secretaries were eventually sacked.
The story can also be obtained from www.theage.com

Here's a followup...After that, someone put an advertisement on an employment website...
An advertisement posted on employment website Seek.com.au calling for two legal secretaries for an "expanding high-profile practice".
"Ideally you will have just left a top-tier firm and may have experience in M&A and will be family orientated," it starts, routinely enough.
Then comes this hint: "Your finely tuned interpersonal skills, conflict resolution and ability to juggle five clients at once is essential."
The clincher: "Attractive package includes brand new car, beautiful apartment, high pay (sic) job and lunch, which includes a packet of ham, some cheese slices and two slices of bread.
"Ability to keep a boyfriend not essential."

I don't have the actual story on the e-mail arguments, coz my friend from a finance firm in Melbourne sent it to me. As for the advertisement part, it was on "Full Disclosure" section.

Why were they sacked? For using email for personal things or complaining that there was theft apparent in the firm???? Can't understand myself ...

Shoegirl: My handle on IR was AC. (yes, with a dot at the end). Well, I'll see how IR goes and if it's interesting, I might go back and post a few messages. I wasn't very active on IR, but it kept me entertained when I was bored. Hehe...
Gum Tree: Well, if you were the law firm's boss, you'd be pretty p**sed off that two dumb nuts are wasting time arguing on the e-mail when they should be working. To exacerbate the problem, those two "ladies" (let's not get too rude here) used internal e-mail, sent it to almost everyone at the firm which then leaked to all the accounting firms, commercial banks, investment banks across the country. The law firm's reputation became a joke instantly as newspaper, radio stations all gave AAR a good spankin'.

Yes, the law firm has a valid reason to fire them. Utilizing company email for personal use is a form of theft so they were rightfully discharged. Their biggest crime was being too petty over little things. Why did they send messages to all those people? Maybe they were too dumb to notice?[:x)]
