The Chinese side of The Family LT have many relations in Shanghai - all of which are amazed and hurt that I don't stop with them when I am up there on business - nor do I take up their offers of dinners and introductions to people who I might be able to do business with...

...their generosity is outstanding but I can not stand being in house with people I hardly know who think nothing of walking into my bedroon unannounced to bring plates of food I don't want to eat and extra packets of cigarettes just in case I manage to smoke the other 40 packs before morning. To them living on top of people, belching anfd farting through a filum on the TV is perfectly OK. They debate every second of their day and take great interest in each others welfare and plans...

Coming from Stoke of course I'm made of sensitive stuff!

My main issue lies in the fact that the peeps in my house will just sit and eat me out of house n home - won't go out to do anything - will expect their whole stay in honkers to be on my account - and being from the Phils, they're generally incredibly loud from 6am thru to about 1am...

Being from Warrington, I'm made up of chemicals, beer and nothing much else.

to be, or not to be, what was the question?

The outlaws have left the building . . . . but not yet hkg....

almost 1 month of 5 - 6 (and at one time 8) extra peeps staying in my apartment, never going out coz they were too cold - and eating 4 huge meals a day....

I can akshully walk from the front door to the lounge without tripping over bodies - and can have my lamb chops without offering them up to everyone (offer always accepted)!!

You are lucky that they are using the honorable way of getting cash out of you. This means you are not going to get shafted in other ways and your missus is not going to used to extort much money out of you.

You sound quite confident about that. Any particular reasons?

RR - not at all - - - - this is just one of many various nefarious plans I deal with...(Besides nicking 1/2 my winter clothes (for which I can't yet figure out why on earth these are needed in Philippines, there is many another plot underway) -

We are just back from a trip to Malaysia to see my grand and the rest of the family there, introducing the new members to my relatives and also showing Frenchie the life of a very traditional Chinese community in a very boring city. Surrounded by a dozen of cousins and their many many many children (it's like a bloody kindergarten) plus lots of aunts and uncles, fire crackers, very basic Chinese food and the curious neighbours constantly standing outside the gate staring at the only white guy they see in years. I have to say Frenchie did an excellent job and left lovely impression to my family. I wouldnt be able to do such job...

Johor Bahru, luckily, and in HK he only has to deal with me parents and brothers who are the most easy-going in-laws you would want to have.
