Your thread title infers that the Dutch as a people are slighting Islam.
A little research, beyond SCMP's less than stellar reporting, will prove this to be untrue.
- Lawmaker Wilders does not have broad support.
- He is no longer part of the 2nd largest opposition party (VVD) as reported by Wikipedia, but instead runs his own little club of racially intolerant right-wingers...
- With 9 seats out of a total of 150 seats in the Lower House, he could hardly be accused of being a representative speaker for the majority of the Dutch population...
- The Dutch, as a rule, are highly tolerant of all population groups, regardless of colour, creed or religion. Having said that, there are right-wing groups in every country that feel different. Holland is no exception...

Title was just meant as that, a title, no deep meaning implied.
Just got me thinking about tolerance levels. I was just out for a walk and saw a lady with a fashion style shopping bag. Written on it amongst other things was the word Jesus. As a somewhat religious person it affected me not.
I wonder if Mohammad had been written on it and it was seen by someone of the muslim persuasion what their reaction would have been given how apes**t they went over the Dutch cartoons of the past and other perceived slants against their religion?

Well I've just watched it, and I see absolutely no problem whatsoever with this film. It is essentially a collection of media cuttings, public pronouncements by leading Islamic speakers, and verses from the Koran. The only original content comes in a few statements at the end which are far, far milder than pretty much all of what has been shown earlier in the film from the Islamic angle.
I'll put a copy on my blog and expound more there.
