Could anyone recommend any properties contractors that can design. build and supervise a new residential build in the New Territories?

Don't know buy have these queries: 1. How much would that cost (about)? 2. And how did you find the land? Are there any places where you can leasehold the land? I have never seen anything advertised. I might actually be interested (eventually). Cheers thanks a lot.

1) it depends, the cost of 700 sq ft gfa plot, plus 1.2 million for grd/ 1 floor / 2nd floor shell, plus fees, plus government charges, plus external finishes garden, and plus standard of fitout can vary the cost significantly its not cheap.
2) vacant lots are pretty rare, normally advertised in the village and sold by auction house. Last year (old data) 350 sq. ft. lot was for sale at 600K, and remember that is not freehold, the government still owns the land.

I buy 1000 sq. ft., thanks.
I spend 1,800,000 for the land, and put a 500,000 prefabricated home on it. I got a great house for 2.3 million.

lol..... thats right RastaMan, the lots sizes in NT are fixed based on villlage house size, the lots are 350 or 700 sqft gross floor area. And you would never be able to actually live in it because a prefab would never gain Occupancy Permit (OP) here in HK.

Which part of the NT are you thinking of building in? Usually find builders live/work locally so you need to be a bit more specific.

It is a village land inherited by my mother in Lam Tsuen (outside Tai Po). I intend to replace the old building and build a new village house on this lot for her. Unfortunately, I work in the UK , so I can come back if required, but I also have a relative that is base in HK . I am looking probably for a surveyor/architect that can project manage the build after the design has been agreed upon.

Folks,
RastaMan is well known over on Geo for flaunting his ignorance on all sorts of financial and investment matters. I wouldn't waste too much time trying to put him right - nothing much seems to sink in.

I am well known everywhere, both for my fabulous knowledge on an incredible wide range of subject, for my inconceivably wicked sense of humour, and for my unbelievably sophisticated use of the thesaurus!
The reason I left Geo is because of an asshole (Lemnite I think he was called), and especially because the board manager was a troll. I always make it a point NOT to support a board whose manager is a troll.
P.S.: and if you don't have a sense of humour, that's your problem, not mine!

Lots of people on this board seem happy to flaunt what they think they know on financial and investment matters. I reckon most of 'em still know far less than they think they do.

This ludicrous statement shows exactly who is either a troll of a mental retard. And it isn't Shri.

Not at all, I just mind my own business and discuss things with people who have something to add to the discussion, instead of coming up with very stupid one liners every now and then. And ya?

I tend to do pleasure liners myself.
'There's no hugging or kissing - unless you cough up the breakfast voucher.' 'That's a bit mercenary'. 'It's not a bad buffet though' 'Which one?'
