Somehow it seems that those American Idol contestants (so far: South Carolina and San Diego?) are even more confident than they were before.
How is it that they seem to truly think they can sing when they (some of them) sound so f..ing bad. They truly seem indignant for not getting into the next part of the show!
I for one, do not want to miss even one episode

I think that they know that they can't sing. The audition is their attempt to get their 15 seconds of fame.
It scared me though. Made me wonder if my friends were encouraging me to sing and I was actually like an idol contestant. How could their friends and family encourage that?

Rockstar was the best of the two, as it focused on real talent and chose to omit all of this 3 week pre- competition stuff. Once the final 12 idols are chosen, I usually start watching.

Best to get a pro for an evaluation, imho. (Most) friends and (many) family members are keen to give encouragement, it seems.
When will you sing for us sunwatersky? Do let us know the venue when you do another performance

Thanks Crone, i did one before Chrismas but haven't been practicing enough to be seen in public for a while. Too much work and not enough play!
