It's all to do with the feeling of human superiority they get when they have someone on their knees in front of them.

Same rule applies at the supermarket checkout when they stand there doinf sfa whilst the checkout girl packs their shopping.

Bottom line - it comes down to the inbuilt inferiority complex.

Was that a joke or do you actually believe that?

I believe there is a certain amount of truth in it.

HK population of nearly 7 million = ±14,000,000 feet = not nearly enough foot massagey places to meet demand, I reckon.

Re/ Bloke's inferiority complex theory ~ mine is the blokes like having a girlie massage their legs in "legit" place (adds to the frisson of "just imagine if..." thrill, esp if she 'carelessly' strays too close to the family jewels) while wimmins simply have tired feet from standing at checkout counters all day packing shopping bags for lazy mofos whose arms are apparently non-functional.

We also have lots of foot massage places opened since the past 2 years. They are mainly run by mainlanders.
Seems more and more new ones are opend while driving along the main roads.

This is a technique that the ancient Chinese passed on, since China has opened , qualified mainlanders have migrated all over the world , it is perfectly health to make a living with the technique as well as giving the service. We are blessed with spending the money to it's worth.

What other hidden motive is there? Enlighten me.

I don't know about the others but when I go for a foot massage it's because they are aching from a day's walk or stand. It really helps.

It is the trend, these things come and go. It's something aspirationally sinister - those who go for foot massage are dreaming that it would be more than that. And sometimes it is...

Is health a trend ? Is well being a trend ? If you can get more than that, why not ? Give people a job, help prosperity .
