Cantonese, easy. Mandarin sets my teeth on edge. 
I am only likely to hear my kids speaking Mandarin when I'm locked up in a prison cell waiting for my kidneys to be cut out and sold to the highest bidder, and my children have been confiscated by mainland officials to be brainwashed against the Falun Gong.

To be honest if I had the energy I would learn both as I really like the sound of Cantonese but unfortunately Mandarin is hard enough at the mo.
Still if I'm in HK I fully intend that my kids learn English, French, Mandarin and Cantonese mwahahaha! (no expectation there  )

mandarin is easier if enveloped in a Mando speaking society, but here it's mainly Canto... so here Canto is easier
