Earth tremor felt across England

The BBC received calls from people in Yorkshire, the Midlands, Manchester, the Thames Valley, Norfolk, Preston, Newcastle and London about a "quake".

The tremor was felt at about 0100 GMT and lasted for nearly 10 seconds but it is unclear if it has caused any damage.

The British Geological Survey said it believed the quake was of the magnitude of 5.1 and said the epicentre was close to Grimsby in north-east Lincolnshire.

A spokesman said it was the biggest earthquake to hit England since 1990 and could be of a level to cause minor damage to buildings.

Nah, it's been on the BBC news - 4.7 which in Indonesian wouldn't even rank as a fart. Apparently '..one girl was even crying' and the reporter told in grim detail how a chimney pot had actually rolled down the roof causing damage, death and slaughter all the way.

Average by Intention.

It must have dipped by a centimeter half an inch since yesterday I reckon. I think they're going to blame the inability of trains to run properly on the earthquake for at least a month

I heard it was something to do with Mr Kipling.

He always makes exceedingly good quakes.
