Turkish troops pull out of Iraq
By BURHANETTIN OZBILICI, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 1 minute ago
Those poor poor Iraqis..what the Turks did was ........... a perfect Chinese term for it translates as: Take their lives whilst they're down.
A glimmer of hope for the Iraqis.
(edit due to finding the word I wanted to use)
I dream again

I don't think the Turks are despicable. I think they did this purely as an exercise to scare the PKK, to show that they can cross the border to get them at any time, even at the height of winter, and even when the US protests against it.
At least the Kurds have their own fairly stable autonomous state in the north. A far greater tragedy would be to live further south in Baghdad, where life is still utter chaos and likely will be for the next decade, thanks to the incredible incompetence of the whole Iraq invasion and everything since.

The PKK have hardly been an example of peaceful negotiation with the Turks have they over the years?
You used to speak the truth. But now you're clever.
