Gosh I was dissapointed
In fact, when the credits rolled, there was an audible gasp from the audience, and a collective sense of wtf?
I know they jumped the shark when they cast CZJ way back when in that movies with Clooney, but after the Oscars, I thought this might be thier redemption song
I feel like I fell asleep midway through, and missed an important plot-point
yeah, yeah, yeah

Exactly the same here. Watched it on a flight back from NY this weekend and thought the audio-visual systemn had broken when the film ended.
Did not understand the last 30 mins at all. Crap ending.

apart from the end - I thought it was brilliant, however stupid the cowboy is. Seen only once for now, it's in the cinema here and for sure I'll head in there this week to watch in on the big screen

He should have got an oscar for before night falls
that wasn't really acting at all, imho - he just killed a lot of people, with no emotion
yeah, yeah, yeah

I thought it was like a Tarantino film without music. I had to go to some live gig afterwards.

Anyone seen Vantage Point? The trailers looked interesting but sometimes those are the only good bits.

Watched it last week, ranked it alongside Babel for being extremely overrated. Not as bad as Babel (not even close to as bad) but just not as good as the "s**tics" claim.

no country for old men very enjoyable loved the ending but for those who like the black and white hollywood( formula) endings then you wont enjoy this film but you will enjoy the film vantage point as it all gets wrapped up nicely at the end in a few mins and thats how some like it

I don't mind non-formulaic endings, but I have the feeling some good bits of NCFOM were left on the floor of the editing room
yeah, yeah, yeah

Who CZJ?
I also found the ending a bit abrupt but it didn't detract too much from the overall tension of the film.

you want to see a film that ends fairly abruptly go and see "there will be blood "it moves along quite slowly but interestingly enough with lots of detail and then s**t look at the clock we need to end this film in the next 7 mins........................

I thought the ending was brill - it makes sense if you have read the book. The last 20mins were a bit left field but with the Coen Brothers you know you're not going to get a Hollywood formulaic ending. Two thumbs up.
