Picked this series up t'other week and finally got round to watching it; it is very strange, entirely unexpected (I had serious doubts about Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver pretending to be American) but highly intriguing and I've been pretty impressed with it all.

It's also a gazillion times better than that s**te The Lakes, starring wahtsisname from Life On Mars (and who also seems to be headlining every other UK tv or movie production these days; hello, over-exposure, anyone?)

The Lakes ~ probably well-written, possibly well-acted (unless they are all tossers in real life too) but every character despicable and got very, very hard to care about what happened to any of them.
Seriously, it made me want to hit someone.

No, but it looks ace. Anyhow, are you prepared to tell me what was up with Sam yet, or are you still not finished with LoM?

Someone ask me how badly I wanted to slap Keely Hawes, go on.

I'd probably have to join a long queue, tho... The Guardian described her as "annoying and ineffectual", hah.

I watched the first season of "The Riches" and really enjoyed it. Now watching second season when I can get the time.
