Do you need English lessons? I didn't say that credit card details are on the Facebook site, but can be bought on certain sites on Internet (would you be kind enough not to ask me which one, please?)
smog ... whatever, just read what geraldo said right after you. Which actually is the meaning of Facebook, otherwise one can just go on any other site for chatting or partner finder etc.

Thanks for he warning atk. I'm going to stop using the internet altogether. Although if my credit card details are freely available for purchase, perhaps even that won't be enough to thwart these villains.

From everyone's favourite rag, the Daily Smail...
quote: Leading charities are calling for companies to be banned from trawling Facebook and other social networking websites for information on job applicants.
A coalition including the NSPCC, the Children's Society and the NCH want a new law to prevent employers and colleges searching the internet for "digital dirt" on potential recruits.
Studies show one in five employers use the internet to check out candidates and two thirds of those admit their final decision has been influenced by what they found.
Checking networking sites is also common practice for recruitment agencies with research showing more than 60 per cent of British executives are signed up to Facebook or similar.
The children's charities argue that this is akin to nosing through someone's diary and is examining whether existing discrimination laws could be used to prevent the practice...
... The British scientist who created the world wide web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, recently insisted that online data and web history must belong to the individual who posted it.
But he also warned that people must consider what they are up-loading because once it is on the internet, it is regarded as common property.
Just what the UK needs, more laws to protect stooopid people.
It is almost impossible to exaggerate the complete unimportance of almost everything.

Tsk! That's just so unfair. I use my real name (not shazza) and all that! The main reason for me to be there is to be poked, regularly.

not that I really care - I do check my statements when they come in
and even if i use verified by visa i get a follow up call, which i do appreciate. and yes one must check statements, as banks also do make "mistakes"

Kind of early for me to make an account there, but I understand some people may have other needs like wanting to get used with the retirement age that is getting closer (and closer) and reserve the favorite nickname on that kind of sites, making list of friends etc. Well ... I wish fun to all in need.
