Had a most excellent time at this place last night www.sideways-driving-club.com.
For any of you petrolheads/pc gamers/wannabe Schumacher¡¯s out there it¡¯s probably as close as you¡¯re going to get to the real thing. We selected the Porsche GT3¡¯s (good for beginners!) and chose the A1 Osterreichring circuit. A few warm up laps is all that¡¯s needed to get to grips with the controls; feel of the car and track etc. then it¡¯s on to qualifying for grid positions and the actual racing.
The cars responsiveness felt very realistic, i.e. too much throttle mid corner will see the back end step out, too little braking before each corner will see you flying off into the sand trap¡..great stuff. Couple that to the fantastic graphics and the realistic sounds thro¡¯ the headphones, you really get involved and pressing down on that brake pedal really gets to be quite hard work even after just a few laps.
I think one or two peeps from here have been before but if anyone else is up for it then maybe we can get a group together sometime soon and go burn some rubber!!

Looks good and very conveniently located. A little bit steep in terms of pricing though.

Mrs smog and I would definitely be up for that some time. How many cars are there? Do I see 4 in the pics? Maybe we could get some multiple of 4 of us along there and take the place for a few hours running some sort of league? (Race for 15 mins, sit out for 30, race for 15 out for 30, and so on)?

Yes, there's more screens at the back of the venue.....think there may be more than 13 now, not too sure.
And yes, a little bit pricey.......spose good fun doesn't come cheap these days......

1. Is there vibration in the seat?
2. What software are you playing?
3. Are there speakers inside the simulator?
4. What are all the buttons actually for?

2 no idea but it's current circuits of F1
